Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 1st September 2026
PLEASE READ THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS SITE
These terms and conditions tell you the rules for using the FTP Lab website, purchasing products and services through the website, and accessing any digital content or online community provided by the FTP Lab.
1. WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO CONTACT US
The FTP Lab is a trading name of Philip Ellison, trading as the FTP Lab ("we", "us" or "our").
Our main trading address is:
202 Gorsey Lane, Bold, St. Helens, England, WA9 4SG.
You can contact us by email at theftplab@gmail.com.
2. BY USING OUR SITE YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS
By using our website, you confirm that you accept these terms and agree to comply with them.
If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use our website.
If you purchase a product or service from us, these terms will also apply to that purchase unless separate product-specific terms are provided to you. Where separate product-specific terms apply, they will take precedence over these terms to the extent of any inconsistency.
You should read these terms carefully before purchasing anything from us and retain a copy for your records.
3. WE MAY MAKE CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may amend these terms from time to time.
Every time you wish to use our website or purchase a product or service from us, please check these terms to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time.
These terms were most recently updated on 1st September 2026.
Changes will not affect any order that you have already placed where doing so would adversely affect your statutory or contractual rights.
4. WE MAY MAKE CHANGES TO OUR SITE AND SERVICES
We may update and change our website and the products and services available through it from time to time to reflect changes to our products, users' needs and our business priorities.
Where you have purchased a product or service that is subject to ongoing provision, we will endeavour to ensure that any changes do not materially reduce the functionality or value of the service without good reason.
5. WE MAY SUSPEND OR WITHDRAW OUR SITE
Our website is made available free of charge, although certain products and services available through it may require payment.
We do not guarantee that our website, or any content on it, will always be available or be uninterrupted.
We may suspend, withdraw or restrict the availability of all or any part of our website for business, operational or security reasons.
Where reasonably practicable, we will try to give you reasonable notice of any suspension or withdrawal.
6. OUR PRODUCTS AND SERVICES
We provide fitness-related content, programmes, plans, resources and online community services through the FTP Lab website and associated platforms.
The specific products and services available for purchase will be described on the website at the time of purchase.
You are responsible for ensuring that any product or service you purchase is suitable for your needs and circumstances.
7. FITNESS AND HEALTH DISCLAIMER
The information, programmes, workouts, exercises, nutrition-related information and other content provided by the FTP Lab are provided for general educational and fitness purposes only.
They are not medical advice, medical treatment or a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
You should consider obtaining appropriate medical or professional advice before beginning a new exercise or fitness programme, particularly if you:
have an existing medical condition or injury;
have any concerns about your health or ability to exercise;
are pregnant or have recently given birth;
are taking medication that may affect your ability to exercise; or
have been advised by a healthcare professional to restrict or modify your physical activity.
You are responsible for exercising within your own capabilities and for following any medical or professional advice applicable to you.
You should stop exercising and seek appropriate medical assistance if you experience significant pain, dizziness, chest pain, difficulty breathing or any other concerning symptoms.
The FTP Lab does not guarantee any particular fitness, health, weight-loss, strength, performance or other outcome from using our products or services. Individual results will vary.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
8. PURCHASING FROM US
When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the relevant product or service.
Your order will be subject to acceptance by us.
A contract between you and us will be formed when we confirm acceptance of your order, normally by sending you an order or purchase confirmation.
We reserve the right to decline an order where there is a legitimate reason to do so, including where a product is unavailable, there has been an obvious pricing error, or we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.
9. PRICE AND PAYMENT
The price of each product or service will be the price displayed on the website at the time you place your order.
We take reasonable care to ensure that prices displayed on our website are accurate. If we discover an obvious pricing error, we will contact you as soon as reasonably practicable.
Payment must be made using the payment method made available through the website.
Your order will not normally be fulfilled until payment has been successfully received.
If you purchase a subscription or recurring service, the applicable renewal frequency, price and cancellation arrangements will be displayed before you complete your purchase.
10. PROVIDING DIGITAL CONTENT AND SERVICES
Where you purchase digital content, including online programmes, videos, downloadable materials or access to an online community, we will provide access in accordance with the description given at the time of purchase.
Digital content may be provided immediately following purchase.
Where you expressly request or consent to digital content being supplied before the expiry of any applicable cancellation period, you may lose your statutory right to cancel once the relevant legal requirements have been satisfied.
Where a service is supplied during the cancellation period at your express request, you may be required to pay for the proportion of the service supplied before you cancel, where permitted by law.
11. YOUR STATUTORY RIGHT TO CANCEL
If you are a consumer purchasing our products or services online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your contract within 14 days of entering into it, subject to applicable legal exceptions.
Where a right to cancel applies, you may exercise it by contacting us using the contact details in section 1.
You may use the following wording, although you do not have to:
"I hereby give notice that I wish to cancel my contract for [insert description of product/service]."
Where required by law, we will provide a refund within the applicable statutory timeframe.
Your statutory cancellation rights do not apply where an applicable legal exception applies, including certain circumstances involving digital content supplied immediately with your consent and acknowledgement that you will lose your cancellation right.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
12. REFUNDS
Where you are entitled to a refund under these terms or applicable law, we will refund you using the original payment method unless otherwise agreed with you.
We will not charge you a fee for processing a statutory refund.
Where a refund is requested because a product or service is defective, not as described or otherwise fails to comply with applicable consumer law, your statutory rights will apply.
13. SUBSCRIPTIONS AND RECURRING PAYMENTS
Where we offer subscription or recurring-payment products, the relevant subscription period, price and renewal arrangements will be clearly displayed before you purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, subscriptions will automatically renew for the relevant renewal period until cancelled.
You may cancel a subscription in accordance with the cancellation instructions provided at the time of purchase.
Cancellation will not normally affect any period for which payment has already been made, except where you have a statutory or other legal entitlement to a refund.
We will not use automatic renewal arrangements to remove or restrict any statutory cancellation rights that apply to you.
14. ACCESS TO THE FTP LAB COMMUNITY
Where your purchase includes access to an FTP Lab online community, including a community hosted through a third-party platform such as Skool, access is personal to you and must not be shared with another person.
You must not:
-
share your login credentials;
-
allow another person to access your membership;
-
copy, reproduce or redistribute community content;
-
upload or distribute FTP Lab programmes or materials outside the community;
-
use the community for unauthorised commercial purposes;
-
harass, threaten or abuse other members;
-
post unlawful, defamatory, discriminatory or offensive material;
-
spam or repeatedly promote unrelated products or services; or
-
otherwise misuse the community or interfere with other members' enjoyment of it.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access where a member materially or repeatedly breaches these requirements.
Where access is suspended or terminated because of your breach, this will not normally entitle you to a refund, subject always to your statutory rights.
Third-party platforms used to provide the community may have their own terms and conditions, which will also apply to your use of those platforms.
15. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
We are the owner or licensee of all intellectual property rights in our website and the material published on it, including our programmes, written content, photographs, videos, graphics, branding, logos and other materials.
Those works are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
All such rights are reserved.
When you purchase a programme or other digital product from us, you receive a personal, limited, non-transferable right to access and use the content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
You do not acquire ownership of the intellectual property in the content.
Unless expressly permitted by us, you must not:
copy, reproduce or redistribute our content;
sell, sublicense or otherwise commercialise our content;
share purchased content with another person;
upload our content to another website, platform or service;
remove copyright or other proprietary notices; or
modify or create derivative works from our content.
Any unauthorised use may result in termination of your access and may constitute an infringement of our intellectual property rights.
16. USER-GENERATED CONTENT
Where you submit comments, photographs, videos, testimonials or other content to the FTP Lab website or community ("User Content"), you remain responsible for that content.
You must ensure that you have the necessary rights and permissions to submit User Content and that doing so does not infringe another person's rights.
You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, display and distribute User Content to the extent reasonably necessary to operate, administer and promote the FTP Lab community and services.
We reserve the right to remove User Content that we reasonably consider to breach these terms or applicable law.
We will not use identifiable personal testimonials, photographs or other User Content for marketing purposes where doing so would require your separate consent unless that consent has been obtained.
17. DO NOT RELY ON INFORMATION ON THIS SITE
The content on our website is provided for general information only.
It is not intended to amount to professional, medical or other specialist advice on which you should rely.
Although we make reasonable efforts to ensure that information on our website is accurate and up to date, we make no representation, warranty or guarantee that the content is always accurate, complete or current.
18. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WEBSITES WE LINK TO
Where our website contains links to websites, platforms or resources provided by third parties, those links are provided for information only.
Such links should not be interpreted as approval or endorsement by us of those websites, platforms or resources.
We have no control over the content or operation of third-party websites or services.
19. OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY YOU
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
This includes liability for:
death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; and
any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
If you are a consumer, we are responsible for losses you suffer that are a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable or which arise from circumstances outside our reasonable control, subject to your statutory rights.
We do not guarantee that you will achieve any particular fitness, health, weight-loss or performance outcome from using our products or services.
If you are a business user, different limitations and exclusions may apply as permitted by law.
20. EVENTS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL
We will not be responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
Such events may include, for example, failures of third-party platforms, internet or telecommunications failures, power failures, natural disasters, industrial disputes, government action or other events that could not reasonably have been anticipated or prevented.
Where such an event affects a service you have purchased, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and resume the service as soon as reasonably practicable.
21. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR VIRUSES AND YOU MUST NOT INTRODUCE THEM
We do not guarantee that our website or any third-party platform through which our services are provided will be secure or free from bugs or viruses.
You are responsible for configuring your information technology, computer programmes and platform to access our website and should use appropriate security and virus protection software.
You must not misuse our website by knowingly introducing viruses, trojans, worms, logic bombs or other material that is malicious or technologically harmful.
You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, the server on which it is stored, or any server, computer or database connected to it.
You must not attack our website by means of a denial-of-service attack or distributed denial-of-service attack.
Any breach of this provision may constitute a criminal offence. We may report suspected breaches to the relevant law enforcement authorities and cooperate with those authorities.
In the event of such a breach, your right to use our website will cease immediately.
22. NO TEXT OR DATA MINING OR WEB SCRAPING
You shall not conduct, facilitate, authorise or permit any text or data mining or web scraping in relation to our website or any services provided through or in relation to it.
This includes using or permitting the use of any robot, bot, spider, scraper or other automated device, programme, tool, algorithm, code, process or methodology to access, obtain, copy, monitor or republish any portion of our website or any data, content, information or services accessed through it.
This provision constitutes an express reservation of our rights in relation to text and data mining to the extent permitted by applicable law.
23. RULES ABOUT LINKING TO OUR SITE
You may link to our home page provided you do so in a way that is fair and legal and does not damage our reputation or take advantage of it.
You must not establish a link in a way that suggests any form of association, approval or endorsement on our part where none exists.
You must not establish a link to our website in a website that is not owned by you.
Our website must not be framed on another website, nor may you create a link to any part of our website other than the home page without our permission.
We reserve the right to withdraw linking permission without notice.
If you wish to link to or make any other use of content on our website, please contact us at theftplab@gmail.com.
24. HOW WE MAY USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The FTP Lab respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data.
Our Privacy Policy, available on our website, explains how we collect, use and protect personal information when you visit our website, purchase our products or services, or otherwise interact with us.
It also explains your rights under applicable data protection legislation.
25. COMPLAINTS
If you have a complaint about our website, products or services, please contact us at theftplab@gmail.com.
Please provide as much information as reasonably possible about the issue, including your name, order details where relevant and the nature of your complaint.
We will consider your complaint fairly and seek to resolve it within a reasonable period.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.
26. WE MAY TRANSFER THIS AGREEMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation.
We will tell you in writing if this happens and will ensure that the transfer does not affect your rights under the contract.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these terms to another person without our written consent, except where permitted by law.
27. OUR SITE IS INTENDED FOR USERS IN THE UK
Our website and services are primarily directed to people residing in the United Kingdom, although people from other countries are welcome to join the community and purchase training plans.
However we do not represent that the content or services available through our website are appropriate for use or available in other locations.
If you access our website from outside the UK, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the website and purchase of our services complies with the laws applicable to you.
28. SEVERABILITY
If any provision of these terms is found to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be treated as deleted to the extent necessary.
The remaining provisions will continue to apply.
29. ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These terms, together with any product-specific terms, our Privacy Policy and any other terms expressly incorporated into the contract, set out the agreement between you and us in relation to the relevant website use or purchase.
Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
30. WHICH COUNTRY'S LAWS APPLY TO ANY DISPUTES?
If you are a consumer, these terms, their subject matter and their formation are governed by English law.
You and we both agree that the courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are resident in Scotland you may also bring proceedings in Scotland, and if you are resident in Northern Ireland you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland.
